We hope to bring you this new feature on a regular basis, where we give the opposition the opportunity to give a brief view of the games.
Starting our new feature is Watford fan Matt Rowson, who relects on a Watford loss and the first Rams win on the road.
Watford enjoyed vastly more possession against Derby and badly missed the mobility and anticipation of Danny Graham (who, with a heavy heart, I must confess will fit perfectly into Swansea's system).
Derby defended deep and resolutely, but their clean sheet at half time
owed a little to luck. One lapse in concentration in the second half
and Davies secured three points with a fine finish, Derby's first (and
only serious) shot of the game.
I've enjoyed being on the other end of such games, not a lot of fun to be on the receiving end, particularly when the support is already jumpy going into a new season with a new manager and team.
Mood is still (refreshingly) positive though. Derby offered nothing going forward, but Shackell, Fielding and youngsters O'Brien and Kendrick all excelled defensively...
