It's that time of year again and reports of Derby County spending, or indeed offering £10m have surfaced in some obscure Australian Media outlet.
SBS special broadcasting service, are an Australian radio and broadcasting media group and have sensationally reported that Derby County have indeed made a bid for Aaron Mooy, the Manchester City midfielder currently on loan to Hudderfield.
Twenty six year-old Mooy will be taking part in the second leg of the Championship play-offs tonight against Sheffield Wednesday and the result could have a bearing on where, if anywhere Mooy ends up next season. He currently has over three years on his present contract at City.
Many suspect that if the Rams are interested in Mooy, the deal would involve a loan spell befre any thoughts of a permanent bid would be likely.
Again people remember, it is silly season and these reports may have been exaggerated. Watch this space.
