Dean Mottram
Dean Mottram aka Rammie for the last 17 years leaves the club after row
A Derby County legend has left the club, not a highly paid superstar but one of the fans all time favourites. Yes Rammie has left the building, or at least the originator of the now nationally famous mascot, Dean Mottram.

Forty year old Mottram was involved in a row with the club over how his role was funded and Mr Mottram decided to quit his job that he has had for 17 years. Dean was yesterday said to be sad at quitting his job.

Rammie was the very first professional or full time mascot in the football league in 1996 and has been on hand to help promote the club and get the crowd in good voice on match days, as well as his superb work with Children and charities in the community. Dean has also attended over 6,000 children's parties.

Derby County were unwilling to comment on the departure of Mr Mottram but he will be sadly missed by the children, charities and fans of Derbyshire and Derby County...
