Unsettled central defender Raul Albentosa is to return to his native Spain by the end of the week after a season long lone last season.
Albentosa returned to Spain to play for Malag in the Spanish top division, La Liga. He and his family could not make the transition to the English way of life and after failing to command a starting berth with Derby County wanted the return to Spain.
The loan move last season was seen as a good move for all concerned and after a succesful season with Malaga, playing 31 times and scoring two goals, Albentosa is keen to join on a permanent basis.
A fee of around £950,000 has been mentioned for the deal, which would be a decent profit on the fee Derby paid Eidar for his signiture in 2015. Malaga however are hoping to pay a reduced fee to bring Albentosa home permanently.
