Many people at the moment think of Derby County as a Mickey Mouse outfit, especially on the pitch but new Chairman Adam Pearson is believed to be in consultation with Shamrock Holdings a company owned by Billionaire businessman, film maker and writer ,Roy Edward Disney (77), nephew of the great Walt Disney.Pearson was known to have been in the USA and is actively searching for large investors in Derby County Football club. Any significant investment could mean the Rams being able to compete on an equal playing field during the January transfer window with other more established Premiership teams.
If negotiations go to plan it is thought the Shamrock holdings group would look to take a controlling share holding in the Rams before a final takeover was completed.

Fans are divided about the news, many think it will only benefit Derby County, others are not so sure that taking the club out oflocal peoples hands will ultimately lead to success on and off the field. Some fans are more concerned with what our neighbours will make of the deal. Forest fans may have a field day if Disney does take over Pride Park and what of Rammie, will he be replaced by Mickey Mouse?..
