Barnsley are thought to be looking into taking transfer listed James Bailey to Oakwell.
Bailey, still only 23 has had two seasons with the Rams following his transfer from Crewe. His first season was a great success and earned him the Rams young player of the Year award but an ankle injury kept him out of the Rams first team for around three months last season and he has struggled since to get that place back.
The creative midfielder has been tracked by Barnsley boss Keith Hill for some time and is seen as a replacement for other midfielders at Barnsley expected to move on this summer.
No fee has been mentioned for any transfer, however Bailey was bought along with John Brayford for a combined fee of £1m, so a fee of around £500,000 would see the Rams claim back their investment...
