Ben Davies is in demand after the Rams placed the 31 year-old midfielder on the transfer list.
Nott’s County are said to be very interested in loaning the former County star but their manager Keith Curle admits he may have opposition from Championship clubs. He goes on to say he is amazed if any of the Rams rivals in the Championship don’t snap up Davies.
Ben joined Derby County in January 2011 and was viewed as the set piece player and dead ball specialist but despite playing 50 games for the Rams it is disappointing that he has only contributed 2 goals in that time, although he has made a few for fellow Rams players.
Derby received no firm offers for Davies during the transfer window and Nott’s County may well get their old boy back for a loan spell after the emergency loan window opens later this week...
