The Fact the Rams topped the attendance charts in the Championship last season with an average of 29,440 has not been lost on our East Midland rivals and Leicester City are looking to attract an extra 10,000 to add to last seasons 20,233 average to beat the Rams.
The job is most likely beyond the Foxes as Derby already have 22,000 season tickets sold for the 2009-10 season to date and are expecting to top last season's gates and take the average above 30,000 per game.
Derby do have a slight advantage in ground size, having a capacity of 33,597 to the Walkers Stadium total of just 32,500.Leicester on the other hand have the advantage of just being promoted.
The gauntlet seems to have been thrown down and we are confident that yet again Rams fans will prove to be the best supporters in the country, a title given to them during the clubs short stay in the Premiership.
