The 21 year old has been let go by Mark Hughes after he failed to hold a place within the Premiership side. Billy Davies was quick to snap up the youngster who has played for England at U19 level but has pledged his International alligence to Scotland, for which he qualifies via his grandfather.
McEveley is said to be comfortable playing on the left of defence or in the centre. This gives Davies some of the defensive cover he has been looking for during the transfer window.
