It hasn't taken long for former Rams boss Nigel Clough to express his interest in Derby County players.
He is seeking to up his fire power at Sheffield United and would be interested in Johnny Russell if the Scottish striker were to become available in the January transfer window.
Russell has been dogged by injury over the last year or so, and is currently just getting over his second leg fracture in that period. He has also found it hard to force a regular first team place ahead of on form Chris Martin and others.
Clough did however say he was interested in many other strikers and has not yet formally contacted Derby County or any other side before the transfer window opens.
