With only one point from five games in Division One the Rams need to get points on the table.
Last weekend's game with Norwich was postponed because of internationals, and Burley is hoping it will give the players the chance to return with a more determined frame of mind.
"We have a few players on international duty this weekend so we're making sure that those who are still with us are topping up their fitness and working on recovering from niggling injuries," he told the club's official site.
"No side wants to be bottom of the division, but our recent performances have warranted more points. That's football, though, and we still have 41 games left.
"The team is improving, I know the fans can see that, and if we don't panic and keep battling away we will win games."
