The 18 year-old has long been a target of Nigel Clough following the break-down of negotiations to re-loan James Vaughan from Everton.
Sunu was held back from coming to Derby earlier by contractual arrangements, Arsenal wanting to ensure the youngster signd a new contract with them, as his current deal ended in the summer. Now that is sorted Arsenal are happy to loan out Sunu for the rest of this season.
If the 'I's' are dotted and the 'T's' crossed before midnight Sunu may well feature in Saturday's game against Swansea. His pace and youthful energy is seen as being a big asset to the Rams attacking options and he can also play wide on the right if necessary.
