The season has not been finished a week but already speculation on the manager and who he should bring into the Rams side.
Derby have struggled at times with strikers, or is it the service given to them? Ross McCormack was on Derby's radar last season but he eventually went to Fulham for a hefty £11m. Despite being in a struggling Fulham side he repaid his transfer fee by sticking 23 goals in last season but would the outlay be worth the money?
The Rams do have players who play on the wing, including some decent wing backs but there is speculation that Jordan Ibe is likely to leave Liverpool before the start of next season. The highly succesful five months he spent at Derby in 2014 may persuade Mel Morris to try to bring the talented winger back into the Derby fold, but again at what price? Several Premiership are said also to be interested in his services.
Derby have little cover in the central defensive role so speculation about a move for Leeds United's Sol Bamba have surfaced. The Ivory coast International is 31 years of age but has had a good season in the Leeds squad.
Of course all this is pure seculation and wishful thinking, as Derby have yet to finalise who will be managing the club come the 6th August.
