The Derbyshire Senior Cup game saw the Rams progress to the quarter final stage after a 14-1 win. To be fair to Shirebrook Derby did include several first team players to get them match fit and the Division one North County East league side did take the lead over a snoozing Rams side after just 42 seconds.
Following the wake-up call Derby took the game by the horns and by the break were leading 8-1. A further six goals without reply in the second period saw the Rams coast to victory.
The Rams played first teamers, Dean Leacock, Gareth Roberts, Tomasz Cywka, Miles Addison, Steve Davies and Ben Pringle.
