After a meeting today in Oxford between the FA and Football League Clubs, it has been proposed that there should be some sort of wage capping system introduced.

The proposed scheme would see clubs being limited to 60% of their turnover being used for player wages. A further 10% reduction was proposed to be brought in during future seasons.

The moves have been welcomed by David Davies Chairman of the working group and all Football League teams as a way of ensuring the future stability of Football Leagues division one two and three.
