Paul Clements sacked by Derby County in February as their first team coach/manager has been approached by the FA in relation to taking up a part time coaching job with the National team.
Clement who teamed up with his old mentor Carlo Anchelotti at Bayern Munich recently said it was a huge honour, but after consultation with the team, Anchelotti and all concerned at Bayern has turned the appointment down.
A clash of interests was mentioned as a main reason but the German team was not happy with the idea of their man training the English National team.
Sam Allardyce had requested that Clement be approached for his new look England team.
