Rams manager Nigel Clough has said that Tom has been "working on it (the loan signing of Campbell) for a few days". This is the first time that Glick has been closely involved with negotiations for a player in football, although he has been involved in similar situations in American baseball and other sports.
Glick has had competition for Campbell's signature from fellow Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday but it is thought Campbell may want to stay in the East Midlands. He also sees his chances of playing, rather than sitting on the subs bench, higher at Derby County.
