GOING, GOING, nearly gone

The Rams faithful have done it again, with tickets for Saturday's game against Tottenham Hotspur all but sold out.

The Tottenham allocation of 3,100 tickets have been snapped up by the White Hart Lane supporters and the Derby County Ticket office is only selling what few tickets they have left to Rams fans with a customer number, with 32,500 seats already claimed by close of play yesterday, Tuesday 4th February.

Derby fans have always given good support and with the results so far this season it is a tribute to them that they still keep wanting to see the Rams play. A big incentive may just be the first home game of veteran defender Alan Stubbs, who moved to Derby on the final day of the transfer window at the end of January.

Another new face will be taking to the field on Saturday in the form of Australian attacking player Mile Sterjovski. The 28 year-old has just had his work permit granted after an appeal lasting 3 weeks. Mile said "It was the longest three weeks of my life when waiting for the appeal".

The Rams are now on a roll after stopping the losing streak and with two draws under their belt the confidence should be returning to the squad. The dream of avoiding relegation is still a very long shot but the fans are now getting value for money and performances that may make the difference when the next season ticket renewal comes around in a few months time...
