Grenet may be on his way home

Francois Grenet may be on his way out of Derby County. The 27-year-old French defender is said to have had talks with Rennes coach Philippe Bergeroo.

Rennes are looking to Grent to fill the full back role that will be left open when they sell Anthony Revellere.

Grenet hoping for a return to France

Grenets time at Pride Park has not been happy and he made only 13 first team appearances last season and three substitute appearances. In those games he was sent off once and yellow carded on two occasions.

The proposed move must be looked upon by both parties as a good move but Derby may not get anywhere near the £3million they paid for Grenet last November. Any monies paid may give John Gregory to acquire either Robbie Mustoe or Nigerian striker Aiyegbeni.
