Although it is no secret that Rams CEO, Tom Glick has stated Derby County has no financial need to sell Hulse, it is believed that a realistic offer would be taken by the Directors of the club. They are seeking to lower the wage bill and Hulse would be one of the players on high wages still at the club after nearly a year of clear-outs at Pride Park.
Derby are said to be looking at around £1.5m for Hulse so the Blackpool bid of £1m may be rejected, although Hulse is a proven goal scorer and would be seen to be a steal at £1.5m, although Hulse does reportedly earn a staggering £600,000 per year already at Derby County and Blackpool may want the striker to lower his demands to play in the Premiership.
The Rams on the other hand did have six strikers just a few weeks ago to choose from but with Kris Commons not being an out and out striker, more an attacking midfielder and injuries to Steve Davies, out for six months and Chris Porter, recurring hip injury the Rams would effectively be down to just two fit strikers with the season just a couple of weeks away.
There has been no comment yet from the club on the rumoured deal...
