League Cup attended by less than 5,000 fans

The Rams are expecting less than 5,000 for tonight's League Cup clash with Blackpool. Ticket sales have been slow and the club has not learned from previous years and re-instated Cup Vouchers in the Season Tickets.

The Trend in recent years has been lower and lower attendances in the early rounds of the Cups, with Derby not being the only club to experience this. Replacing Cup Vouchers may be one way to ensure a reasonable crowd for these matches.

Lost revenue in decreased concourse sales has to be looked into, especially as the club tries to establish itself as one of the leading 20 teams in the country.

Cup runs aren't a Derby County speciality but with a near full stadium, or at least a potential 25,000 season ticket holders with Cup vouchers may take the Rams on a long awaited cup run, ending as we did last May at the new Wembley stadium.
