Rams director of football Murdo Mackay is convalescing following an
operation.
Murdo spent some time in hospital last week and is now recovering at home.
Speaking on behalf of the club, chief executive Jeremy Keith said: "The
operation went well and Murdo has been told he needs to spend time
recuperating.
"That won't be easy for someone with his energy, enthusiasm and commitment
to his role at Derby County, but it is important for him to rest.
"Everyone at Derby County wishes him well and we look forward to welcoming
him back to Moor Farm."
As this is a private matter, neither Murdo, his family nor Derby County will
be making any further comment.
