It is widely known that Nigel Pearson and Derby County are looking to make Fernando Forestieri their prime and so far only transfer target of the summer transfer window.
Mystery yesterday surrounded the talented Argentine as he apparently refused to board the coach taking Sheffield Wednesday to Norwich for their game with the Canaries.
The twenty six year old striker didn't travel to Norwich and mystery surrounds the reasons why. We can only summise that he and his agent are wanting to move on from the Owls.
According to sources Forestieri had at first refused to play last weekend against Aston Villa but was persuaded to take to the field and scored the only goal of that game.
Derby County had a £7m bid for Forestieri turned down by Wednesday earlier this week but it is thought that Derby will be back with a higher, or improved bid for the striker.
Meanwhile Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal has stated that he and his Chairman do not want to sell Forestieri and as far as he knew would be honouring his three year contract with the club.
Derby County are not the only team wanting the services of Forestieri and Newcastle United, relegated from the Premier League last season and currently without a win this season are also reported to be in the hunt for Forestieri.
