A grand gathering of the old and the new, Derby County players that is, took place at the DCFC shop yesterday afternoon for the launch of Gerald Mortimer's and Breedon books new book “Derby County-The complete Record”.FA Cup winners Reg Harrison (83) and Jimmy Bullions (82) the only two survivors of the only time Derby County won the FA Cup. It was an honour indeed to actually see and hold Reg Harrison's FA Cup winners medal.

One of my all time favourites, Colin Boulton (61) was also at the signing, the last time I remember seeing Colin was when Derby County were playing in the European Cup!
Colin can be seen here second from the right.
The younger and charismatic part of the tables was made up by Ted McMinn, his ever cheerful voice being heard above the chit chat around the Derby County shop.

Player representing the present day were Morten Bisgaard (32) and Marc Edworthy (33)
Supporters queued outside the venue for nearly an hour to get their books signed. Traffic problems in and around the Derby area meant that John McGovern was unable to attend, much to the annoyance of a young Scottish fan who wanted the ex Rams midfielders autograph. His disappointment was lessened by a quick chat and autograph from fellow Scot Ted McMinn.

If any of you Rams fans out there haven't yet bought (or maybe entered our free competition to win a copy) of this book, you are strongly urged to, or get it down on that Christmas list. Not only does the book contain all the details of the many hundreds of players who have pulled on the Derby County shirt over the last 122 years , but there are full league tables and records of every match and goal scored. Little snippets of information that not everyone knows is also presented on the league tables pages. It's a must for all Rams fans and a very good read for those just interested in football and footballing facts.Derby County Mad wishes to thank Steve Caron and Breedon books for being given the opportunity to review the book for Derby County Mad fans and for access to the signing yesterday. We hope the book will become a best seller and we know it will be a Derby County fans bible.
