Portsmouth and Rams deny Ravanelli link

Portsmouth are denying that manager Harry Rednapp is lining up a swoop for Rams striker Fabrizio Ravanelli.

Rednapp has been quoted as saying he “is lining up a sensational signing”. A Portsmouth spokesman said later “We don’t know who the sensational signing is but we have an idea and it isn’t Ravanelli”.

A Rams spokesman has also denied any approach for Ravanelli.
