The Rams longest serving player Darryl Powell is to be offered a new contract with the club sometime in the next few weeks.
The 30 year old has been at the club for seven years since signing from Portsmouth in July 1995 for £750,000.
When the offer is made Powell will then have to decide if his future is with Derby County or elsewhere. John Gregory has said it would then be down to the player to do what he thinks is best for himself and the club.
