Giles Barnes
Giles Barnes thought to be in the Merseyside clubs sights
After the last three games, in which Giles Barnes has shown some outstanding shooting ability, it is no wonder that the dark cloud seems to be returning to Pride Park.

That dark cloud are the circling vultures waiting for the transfer window to open and a chance to take the highly talented teenager to the top division.

It will be interesting to see if our new directors can see further than the end of their nose and decline derisory offers for the raw talent of Barnes.

One saving grace is that Barnes has just signed a new 4 year contract and that may help to keep the youngster at Pride Park for the near future.

The scousers are rumoured to be preparing a bid in the new year. Both Everton and Liverpool have been keeping a close eye on Barnes and must have been impressed by recent games in which the Barking born player has featured, especially on the score sheet.

Bids for Barnes by both Merseyside clubs are rumoured to have been turned down earlier this season.
