Derby County have put in planning permission for their new development around Pride Park. The idea is to develop both the East and West stand areas outside the ground.

Within the development is a 165 bed Hotel, along with Bars Restaurant and even a convenience store.

It is hoped that over 250 jobs will be created by the scheme and will attract many more people to the Pride Park stadium area on non match days.

Chairman Peter Gadsby has stated that the Rams need to "take advantage of the development potential to ensure Derby County remains a leading club".

All funding for this project will come from investors and not out of the Clubs funds.

Fans have voiced their concern about the loss of Car parking at the ground but the club has stated that there will be Green Travel initiatives but have not as yet revealed what they will be.
