Rams to take Blades striker on loan

Jamie Ward, will he be the answer to the Rams striker problems?

Derby County have been struggling to bring in a striker since the sale of leading scorer Kris Commons and Rob Hulse. To plug the gap the Rams are looking to Sheffield United's Jamie Ward.

The 24 year-old is said to be set to join the Rams on a 93 day loan until the end of the season tomorrow (Wednesday 16th Feb). Derby are also said to be seriously considering a permanent deal with Ward in the summer.

Ward is a Northern Ireland International and was a £330,000 aquisition from Chesterfield in 2009....
