Derby County are likely to be trying to attract 20 year old defender Tom Naylor (seen here on the right) to Pride Park in the near future. Naylor has been on trial with the Rams from Mansfield Town and impressed in a reserve game against Walsall a couple of weeks ago, the Rams winning 6-1.
There is likely to be much interest for Naylor’s signature, with Premiership Fulham having taken a look at him last week and playing in a reserve team game for them against Manchester United.
Championship rivals Burnley are also thought to be very keen to see Naylor in their squad. Any move would be on a loan footing until the transfer window opens again in January and an estimated £50,000+ fee is expected by Mansfield if they are to let the talented player further his career.
The Rams have made room for the signing by loaning out Stephen Bywater to Sheffield Wednesday. Bywater will stay with the Sheffield club until the 17th December, when the situation will be reviewed...
