After impressing in early pre-season Andreas Weimann sustained knee injury that has kept him out of contention for a place in the Rams match day squad this season.
Weimann had impressed Rams boss Nigel Pearson and he was expected to feature in the Rams starting line up before the injury occured.
Derby do not want to rush the Austrian back too soon and are taking it easy with his re-abilitiation and treatment for the inflamation he has suffered in the joint.
Weimann will not be in the Derby squad until the earliest mid September, with the first game after the International break being the target for his return, or inclusion in the squad.
