Well it has not been long since the Rams dissapointing season ended but the new one is about to start and most players will now be returning to full training today.
Testing to see just what fitness has been lost during their holidays will start at Moor Farm. Then the hard work begins for another season. Some players will be looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and non more than George Thorne, who has been missing for all of last season after suffering a double leg break.
Some faces will be missing from the first day back and Will Hughes will be missed by his colleagues and fans alike following his departure to Watford and the Premier League. I am sure we all wish him well. Jonathan Mitchell is still away on International duty with the England U21, who were dumpped out of the European U21 Championships at the semi final stage last night.................Why can't we ever beat Germany on penalties?
New faces around the place include Curtis Davies brought in from Hull City and the permanent capture of Andre Wisdom after winning a Leagueand Cup double in Austria last season, whilst on loan from Liverpool.
More faces may come and go during the coming weeks but for now the hard slog to fitness begins...
