Rams central defender Jake Buxton has put pen to paper to extend his stay at Pride Park for another year.
Buxton still had a year to run on his current contract but has now extended that to keep him with the Rams until the end oif the 2015 season.
Nigel Clough has praised the improvement in Buxton since his signing from Mansfield Town in 2009, saying "he has an unbelievable desire to get his head to the ball in both penalty areas".
Bucko, as he is effectionately known has scored five goals for the Rams this season in just 27 appearances. Good going for a defender who has missed two months of the season with a knee injury...
