On-loan striker Chris Martin will remain with the Rams after negotiations with Norwich City to extend his stay at Pride Park until the end of the season.
The 24 year-old had indicated he was enjoying life with Derby County and he fitted in well with fellow Rams striker Conor Sammon.
Nigel Clough is happy that Martin will be "sticking around", as he has the physical attributes to compliment how Derby play and has the knack of getting into positions to worry the opposition defenders, something the Rams were missing with the other strikers they had available a short while ago.
Martin has so far made five appearances for the Rams and scored a vital goal in his last game to defeat Leicester City at Pride Park. He hopes to continue in the same vain when the season resumes after the International break...
