The Rams face a Blackpool side that is currently bottom of the football league and following on from the Tangerines mauling by Huddersfield (4-2).
Derby do have injury worries before the trip to Blackpool with Jamie Ward already ruled out following a thigh strain suffered in the first half against Reading at the weekend. Rams Captain and centre back Richard Keogh is also a doubt following his concussion, again against Reading.
Goal keeper Lee Grant may also miss the trip to Blackpool with a knock on the ankle, Craig Bryson is hopefully better after reporting he felt unwell at the weekend.
Derby do have cover in most areas this season and players may be given a chance to shine against lowly Blackpool. Richard Shotton came into the centre of defence at the weekend and many people how confident and accomplished he looked there.
The Rams have kept clean sheets in their last five games and are unbeaten in all competitions since the 2-3 defeat away against Charlton on the 19th August, a run of 11 games without defeat.
Derby may well top the league on Tuesday evening if they can beat Blackpool. I am sure all Rams fans will give a little cheer to Nottingham Forest if they beat league leaders Watford for them...
