With in-coming manager Gary Rowett hardly making an imprint on his managers chair, the news that Joe McClaren, son of Steve, is to be kept on as chief scout is a shock.
The former Southampton, FC Twente and Nottingham Forest scout was thought to be a casualty of the sacking of his father but the powers that be have hald on to McClaren Junior, despite seeing Chris Evans depart along with his father.
Gary Rowett has moved in his own set of backroom boys. With his assistant being Kevin Summerfield (left), along side is 1st team coach Mark Sale (right).
Joe Carnall moves into the Head of performance role, whilst Kevin Philips is retained as striker coach.
Pascal Zuberbuhler moves out and Kevin Poole moves back to Pride Park as goalkeeping coach.
Things may change further with just nine games to go in this season. Hopefully Gary Rowett still has his job come August and plans for the 2017-18 season are well in place.
