Derby County have looked at the players fitness and caretaker manager Darren Wassell wants to up those levels so the Rams can out run opposition, as they did in previous seasons.
Paul Clement brought in physical performance specialist Karl Halabi when he took over the reigns at Derby County. Halabi has now left the club and Steve Haines has stepped into the position.
Haines has been with Derby County for eight years in the strength and conditioning department and will look to get the players fitness up to acceptable levels once again.
Derby County's fitness in recent seasons had been a major part of their relative success. Taking them to Wembley and the Championship play-off final in the 2013-14 season
Wassell has also identified the need to play players who have not been playing on a regular basis or recovering from injury sparingly. He intends to give players enough playing time but will substitute them at the right time to get maximum performance from the player and for the team.
Derby will look to get their first win in 2016 at the weekend as they take on Brentford.
