The Rams have been one of the busiest teams with regard to signings in the country, signing seven players either permanently or on loan.

The late signing on loan of Tyrone Mears from West Ham brought the number of players coming into Pride Park to seven. Will it be lucky seven, we will have to wait and see but the feeling around the City is that Billy Davies has brought quality players to the club with David Jones, Craig Fagan, Stephen Pearson, Gary Teale, James McEveley and Jonathan Macken.
The final day saw striker Jonathan Macken sign on a free transfer from Crystal Palace as well as Mears, both of whom may well feature in Saturday's game Southampton. Mears is a 23 year-old Right back and was bought by West Ham in July last year for £1million. Mears as only played 3 times for the Hammers in that time.
The push now goes on for automatic promotion and the riches of the Premiership to re-coup some of the near £4million spent in just 31 days.
