After just a season with the Rams, defender James O'Connor has been training this week with Bristol City, with a view to a permanent move to Ashton Gate.
The Robins will be taking a look at the fitness of O'Connor before offering a fee for the utikity defender. Derby bought O'Connor from Doncaster Rovers to fill a variety of defensive roles but didn't manage to hold on to any of the defensive positions he was asked to hold with the Rams.
Shaun O'driscoll, manager of Bristol City knows he can still do a job at the back for any Championship side even at 28 years of age.
