A report in Sunday's newspapers has said that Derby County are set to lose Andreas Weimann and £1.25m. It has been revealed was revealed his loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers included a clause for the West Midlands club to buy Weimann at a knock down price.
Weimann went out on loan to Wolves in January following a period in which he only started once for the Rams. During his loan he has played 19 games, scored on three occasions and been involved in two assists.
Weimann has played for Paul Lambert before during his Aston Villa days and it is thought Lambert sees a good future for weimann again, this time at Wolves.
Derby County paid Aston Villa £2.75m for the services of Weimann and it now looks as though the decision on his future will not rest with Gary Rowett, even though he has promised to give everyone in the squad a chance to impress him and remain with the Rams.
