erby County have bolstered their challeng for promotion this afternoon by signing Darren Bent on a season long loan.
The Aston Villa striker is thought to have had a large proportion of his £70,000 per week wage paid by the Rams.
At 30 years of age Bent is no spring chicken but has always scored goals wherever he has been playing. Steve McClaren now hopes he will form a partnership with Chris Martin and get the goals which may secure promotion to the Premiership.
