League one clubs are to get £335,000, whilst league two sides will receive £225,000. The money will be well received by the lower league clubs but the gulf between the Premiership and lower league sides looks set to increase as parachute payments for Premiership clubs are set to rise from £32m over three years once relegated to £48m over four years
So now teams relegated will now have significantly larger cushion when coming down to the Championship than before. This could see an increase in the so called Yo-Yo teams that rise to the Premiership and then are relegated in successive seasons.
