Rams win final away friendly

Nathan Ellington, the Duke to the rescue as the Rams beat Rushdon and Diamonds 0-1

The Rams won a competitive friendly last night against Rushdon and Diamonds by a single goal. The winning strike coming from Nathan Ellington just two minutes into the second half.

Ellingtons strike partner Rob Hulse was guilty of missing several chances during the opening period . Kris Commons again impressed as did new defender Martin Albrechtsen.

Veteran defender Alan Stubbs had to come off with an injury, no news as to the extent of this from the club as yet.

The Rams now prepare for a tougher examination on Saturday by FC Utrecht...
