Derby County have announced this afternoon that 28 Year-old striker Luke Varney has signed for fellow Championship side Portsmouth.
Luke has not featured much in his time at Derby and has spent a lot of time out on loan most successfully with Blackpool in the Premiership last season. It was thought that Luke would have remained with the Tangerines on a permanent basis but relegation for Blackpool proved to be the difference between him staying and returning to Derby.
Varney has signed for the South coast club for an undisclosed fee. He made only 15 appearances for Derby County and weighed in with a single goal.
