Derby County reserves find themselves without their regular mouthwatering battle against local rivals Nottingham Forest this season as a result of the relegation of the bottom two clubs in the F A Premier Reserve League South.
While the Rams spent the campaign battling for their third title in the competition Forest found themselves down amongst the dead men.
They were forced to pay the ultimate price, along with Wimbledon, for finishing in the bottom two slots by being removed from the competition.
For Derby the downside is that two fairly short journeys have been replaced with long hauls to face the Norwich and Crystal Palace second strings in the coming months.
