Following a complaint by a Doncaster Rovers fan you may be due a refund of the ticket price or part of that cost. The Donny fan had bought a ticket for the Hillsborough game and found that he was charged a price of £23 for his seat, where as home fans paid just £17 for the same category ticket.
Sheffield Wednesday had introduced a reduction in ticket prices in mid December for home fans but did not pass on the same discount to the away fans that have visited Hillsborough . This a is a clear breach of FA rules, which states that any ticket price must be fixed by June 30th. Wednesday did not change their prices until mid December.
So if you visited Hillsborough on Saturday 20th March this year you could be due a refund of all or part of the price. Supporters have been advised to ask at the Pride Park ticket office to find out...
