That was the week that was at Pride Park

Giles Barnes the latest injury to rule a plyer out for the season at Pride Park
Not a good week, even by Derby County's standards at present. Giles Barnes is the latest player to have a season ending injury and one that could take a while to get right. Something both Giles and the club could have done without.

His injury occurred during training and is now diagnosed as Crutiate ligament damage. His season is over and maybe his dream of a transfer to a top club, or even West Ham.

Robbie Savage is trying hard to win over the Derby County fans, giving a farther and daughter a lift to the stadium for the last home game and then donating £1000 to charity this week. Maybe a good performance on the field would make the Rams faithful warm to him more.

On a lighter note the fans have now snapped up all the tickets for the Monday night grilling of Tom Glick, Paul Jewell and Adam Pearson in the Fans Forum. Does Tom know what he has let himself in for?

Tom Glick, does he really know what he has let himself in for ?

You can even have the shirt of the players back if you have the money to bid in the Derby County FC auction. You the fans have to submit your highest bid for one of the 16 squad shirts worn next Saturday against Manchester United.

The highest bidder will get his or her choice of match worn shirt and then going down the bidders until the 16th highest bid.

The idea is said to be very popular in the MLS in America and it is hoped that the idea takes on over here. Charities will benefit from a proportion of the amount raised from the sale. All ten of the Rams designated charities will get a cut of the money....
