Academy product Chris Turner has signed an 18-month professional deal with
the Rams.
The 18-year-old Northern Ireland youth international has made great strides
through the youth set-up and been rewarded with a contract that runs until
June 2006.
Ballymoney-born Chris is a right-back who, in more recent times, has been in
splendid form as a holding midfielder.
He has worked his way through the ranks to become a regular in Steve
Taylor's reserve side and is a fierce competitor who has now set his sights
on the first team.
On the same day first team squad player Paul Boertien signed a new 2 and a half year deal that ties him to the club until June 2007.
Having signed for former manager Jim Smith the day after Richard Jackson was brought to the club the left back or left sided midfield player is virtually the longest serving player in the squad.
