It is believed that Derby County have put a £1.4m bid in for Kilmarnock's 20 year old Scottish International striker Steven Naismith. The striker made his debut for the Scottish team in yesterday's European Championship qualifying match against the Faroe Islands, coming on for the final seven minutes of the game.
Naismith was the focus of a £400,000 bid from Rangers recently but that offer was rejected. The Rams are thought to have significantly raised the amount offered for Naismith who scored 15 times in the Scottish Premier League last season out of 47 that Kilmarnock scored. Steven also scored four more times in the Scottish League Cup, with a hatrick against Falkirk.
It remains to be seen if the Rams get the talented youngster but if he maintains his scoring form he would undoubtedly be an asset to the Rams, who already have a large Scottish contingent in their squad.
