Tempering the euphoria following the win over rivals Nottingham Forest on Sunday is the news that Jamie Ward has had to undergo a scan on his injured Hamstring today.
The 26 year-old midfield/striker pulled up during the second half of the East Midlands derby at the City ground at the weekend. The injury will be assessed after the full extent is know from the scan.
It is thought that Jamie will certainly not play again until after the International break, which occurs after Saturdays home game against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The length of the lay-off will depend on the damage, which is hoped is minimal, but a more serious strain or tear could see Jamie out for most of October or beyond.
